Do I need a rental car?
You will need a car to get to Ocean Spirit. To be able to
get around the Big Island and see all the interesting things you
must have a car.

What airport is closest to Ocean Spirit?
Hilo International would be your choice. It would be a 4
hour drive from Kona Airport on the other side of the Big Island
to Ocean Spirit.

Does it rain?
This side of the island has all the beautiful greenery and
flowers. Also all the rivers and waterfalls. So it
has to rain. However, the Puna Coast, and especially Ocean
Spirit, sits in an area with a micro climate that has
significantly less rain and lots of sun.

Is the Studio connected to the other apartment?
The Studio has a separate entrance and is not accessible through
the hallway of the apartment. But it can be if guests
require it.

What about internet?
We have free WI-FI internet connection on the premises for your
computer.

Do you have a TV?
You can watch DVD's on the TV. There is no TV programs.
The video store in Pahoa has a surprisingly good variety of
movies for rent.

Is there a local manager?
Carla is out manager for Ocean Spirit. In case you need

Can I walk to the beach?
Turn left on the highway when you come from Ocean Spirit and
walk for about 10 minutes. You will come to Kehena Beach.
You have to walk down from the parking lot to the beach.
Look for the dolphins.

Is there
shopping nearby?
Your shopping is all in Pahoa. Everything you need is
there, even an internet cafe and health food market.

Can I bring my dog?
Sorry, no dogs or other pets. Many people are allergic to
pet hair and we do not want them to suffer.

Is it safe for children?
Children are welcome to stay in the
Triangle. However, they must always be closely
supervised because of stairways, railings and balconies.
Children 5 years of age and older are welcome in all spaces.

Are all the apartments "Non-Smoking"?
There is no smoking allowed in any of the rentals. You may
smoke only outdoors.
